You can get them for just about any product or service
Fundraising cards can focus on merchant discounts for just about anything in your community. You can of course put an expiration date on fundraising cards simply to put a time limit on a particular campaign; these cards are usually good for one year from date of purchase. However, unlike perishable products like candy bars, these cards have no shelf-life to speak of. As long as local merchants are amenable, they can be redeemed at any time, meaning that they’re good for as long as you deem them to be good. There’s no spoilage, and no waste.
They are easy to sell
Because these cards focus on giving users freebies or discounts on local merchants’ products and services, they are very easy to sell. Chances are, card users are already patrons of the businesses in question, and buying these cards simply gives them the option to save significant money on products and services they already use. In essence, the cards really sell themselves because people love to save money, even those who are not experiencing financial problems.
They can offer healthy alternatives to some other options
Typically, schools and other organizations use selling candy bars and putting together bake sales to raise money, and these are certainly good options for fundraising. However, fundraising cards let give you the option of offering healthier alternatives as incentives, if you so choose. In a society where we are trying to get children and young people to focus on health and fitness, it may be a good idea to nix junk food like candy and cookies as the traditional fundraising options for many organizations like churches and schools, and choose to promote healthy products and services with these cards, instead.

Restaurant Card Fundraiser, Dinner & a Movie Card, Online shopping card, City Savings Card, and Scratch cards are more generic “national cards” they do not have as much value individually (though still a great deal) But can raise funds over a greater area with less prep time required.
